Sandbox partnered with the University of Vermont (UVM) to address a critical gap in accessible educational materials for emergency animal disease response. The project focused on translating complex Foreign Animal Disease (FAD) preparedness strategies—such as movement control, depopulation, and vaccination—into clear, engaging visual narratives. Sandbox developed 12 animated videos, each 3–4 minutes long, designed for livestock farmers, veterinarians, and industry professionals. Through thoughtful scripting and visual simplification, the animations break down high-stakes “what-if” scenarios, helping viewers understand how disease outbreaks can unfold and how response decisions impact agricultural systems.

Working closely with UVM and USDA subject matter experts, Sandbox led the full creative and production process. Our team designed storylines that visualize farm environments, human responders, and infection pathways, turning dense scientific concepts into intuitive, story-driven animations. The videos were built to exceed accessibility standards, with careful attention to readable typography, contrast, and motion pacing, and featured professional voiceover talent. Delivered as a cohesive suite, the final assets are optimized for digital learning platforms and public distribution, demonstrating Sandbox’s ability to transform technical content into compelling, educational media with real-world impact.
