Sandbox partnered with the Future Skills Centre (FSC) to transform their annual reporting into a dynamic, digital-first experience. As a pan-Canadian innovation hub, FSC is dedicated to helping Canadians thrive in an evolving labour market. To reflect this mission, we designed and developed a scrollable, bilingual Digital Impact Report that modernizes how the organization presents its achievements. Moving away from static formats, this interactive platform serves as a guided narrative, showcasing FSC’s milestones, research insights, and real-world influence across the country. By combining data visualization with engaging storytelling and appealing animations, the final report reinforces FSC’s authority in shaping workforce strategies while ensuring their message reaches policymakers and stakeholders effectively.

Sandbox worked closely with the FSC team to achieve a cinematic and visually striking aesthetic that remained approachable and easy to understand. We integrated FSC’s design system into the digital environment, playing with overlapping shapes and dispersing animations throughout the site to bring the content to life. To organize the extensive content effectively, we created a dedicated "Impact Spotlights" landing page to host their diverse stories and implemented a unique "bento style" menu for intuitive navigation. This design-forward approach ensured the report was not just a static website, but a responsive and immersive experience that modernized how FSC presents its real-world impact.

In addition to interactivity and user immersion, a key focus for this project was accessibility; we adhered to strict AODA (WCAG 2.1) standards, implementing specific parameters to ensure functions like horizontal scrolling remained intuitive across all screen sizes. The project also featured seamless bilingual integration, allowing users to toggle between English and French without compromising the design’s clarity or layout. The result is a user-centered platform that amplifies FSC’s impact and demonstrates their leadership in workforce development across the nation.
