The World Food Programme (WFP) is the food-assistance branch of the UN and the world’s largest humanitarian organization. After a recent change to their performance management processes, they were looking for an innovative eLearning solution to enhance training for employees and managers. We proposed an out-of-the-box solution of a ‘gamified’ learning experience that puts learners in the pilot seat of a simulated flight. As they navigate, they must answer tough questions that encourage thoughtful reflection and behaviour change. The training game is hosted on the WFP’s learning management system, WeLearn, where it serves roughly 18,000 learners.
