Project details

We created this promotional explainer video for the British Columbia Minister's Advisory Council on Indigenous Women (MACIW), which works to improve the quality of life for Indigenous women by offering guidance and advocacy to the provincial government. In collaboration with MACIW, we took a collage-style approach to animation that incorporated the real faces of Indigenous Peoples, paired with a voiceover by an Indigenous actress to ensure authentic representation. The video’s bright colour palette, motion graphic treatment of real images, and culturally significant music were all carefully crafted to communicate the importance of the water and land resources that Indigenous communities hold with great importance.
